Für mich ist Kunst eine Öffnung – ein Raum, in dem Zeitgrenzen verschwimmen. Mein Weg ist ein ständiges Sehen und Lieben dessen, was sich zeigen will. Am Hof Emschermündung, geborgen zwischen den Ufern von Rhein, Emscher und Rotbach, entsteht meine Arbeit in tiefer Verwurzelung mit der Natur. Im sevengardens Living Lab, meinem Ort der Alchemie, begegnen sich Materie und Geist in einem Prozess, dessen Ausgang stets unbekannt bleibt. Es ist eine Hingabe an den Augenblick, in dem die Hand dem Impuls des Ursprungs folgt.
Materialien
In ihrem künstlerischen Schaffen bildet die Alchemie der Stoffe das fundamentale Gerüst. Jessica Färberkind hat sich von der Flüchtigkeit digitaler Videoperformances und interaktiver Installationen hin zu einer tiefen Materialität entwickelt. Im Zentrum ihrer Arbeit steht heute die wissenschaftlich präzise Gewinnung von Pflanzenfarben. Diese Pigmente werden von ihr selbst angebaut, gesammelt, extrahiert und transformiert. Dabei fungiert die Natur nicht nur als bloße Rohstoffquelle, sondern das daraus gewonnene Material wird zum Medium, um die physische Verbindung zwischen Mensch, Natur und Kosmos haptisch erlebbar zu machen.

Nach ihrem Studium der Kunsterziehung in Gießen und der Kunsttherapie vertiefte sie ihr Profil an der renommierten University of the Arts in London, wo sie ihren Master of Arts absolvierte. For me, art is an opening – a space where the boundaries of time dissolve. My path is a constant seeing and loving of that which wishes to reveal itself. At Hof Emschermündung, nestled between the banks of the Rhine, Emscher, and Rotbach, my work comes into being, deeply rooted in nature. In the sevengardens Living Lab, my place of alchemy, matter and spirit meet in a process whose outcome remains forever unknown. It is a surrender to the moment, where the hand follows the impulse of the origin.
